Brave tests excellently on numerous security audits and is just plain easier to use.Īs for mobile device, in my case an Android phone, I use the DuckDuckGo browser. Such as extension icons disappearing and being inaccessible if I have the configuration set to delete all history at exit just made it untenable for me. Brave and other browsers start up and populate the home screen in less than 2 seconds. After several versions and tweaking lots of settings nothing has helped Firefox boot in under 60 seconds. Behavior is erratic and quite honestly no matter what I've tried after reading dozens of articles to get Firefox to boot quickly the first time after power up, nothing has worked. I want to love Firefox but it just requires far too much constant editing of the configurations to get it to do what I want. There's pros and cons to all of them but ultimately I just shifted from Firefox to Brave. For what it's worth I've tried dozens of secure browsers.
